Technology and Auto Industry

In the debate about the US auto industry, a perspective is that this could only be saved in the long term thru the use of technology. This view is expressed here. Clearly there is some truth to this view, but the real problem with the industry is its very short-sighted and rigid management. If the management is agile, technology will definitely follow.
